Rare and super cool vintage 1940's rayon baseball T-shirt. This retro shirt hails from Akron, Ohio. It was for the local Firestone rubber team, and has a number eight cut from felt on the back. The sleeves and trim are a rust color.
Label: remnants of a tag saying Canal St ( a street in Akron)
Condition: very good! There's a repair by the collar, and under the right arm, some faint marks and pin holes on the front in the stomach area (perhaps from sliding to bases?) and a little wear on the sleeves. See photos for details. Still a rare and very cool piece despite the minor imperfections.
